Start with what matters

What Would You Like to Improve on Your Lotus?

Lightweight construction, low front bodywork, exposed aero surfaces, specialty materials, and performance use make custom paint protection, wheel care, easier maintenance, and discreet security relevant Lotus priorities. The goal cards below provide practical starting points based on different ownership priorities.

Find your Lotus

Protection and Customization by Lotus Model

Lotus recommendations depend on lightweight construction, composite or carbon-fiber panels, low aero surfaces, large wheel and brake packages, electric powertrains, and track or collector use. Each starting point should be refined around the exact material, paint finish, existing film, mileage, and intended driving environment.

XPEL paint protection film

XPEL Paint Protection Film for Lotus Vehicles

Paint protection film creates a physical barrier over painted and suitable clear-coated surfaces to help reduce damage from road debris, minor abrasions, insects, staining, and regular driving exposure.

Lotus sports cars have low noses, exposed rockers, side intakes, wide rear quarters, and lightweight body construction, while newer electric models add larger painted panels and daily-use exposure. Custom planning is often appropriate, and composite panels, carbon fiber, specialty finishes, repaired areas, and existing film should be inspected first.

Compare XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS, ULTIMATE FUSION, and STEALTH. Preserving a factory matte finish and converting gloss paint to satin require different coverage planning.

Fit & installation

We use modified patterns, bulk installation, or custom techniques where appropriate. Edges, badges, access, and the condition of the existing finish are reviewed with the vehicle.

Care & follow-up

Follow the wash restrictions and film care instructions provided at pickup. Return for the complimentary three-week inspection required for continued workmanship coverage.

Provide the Lotus model, intended road or track use, the areas of concern, and its surface condition. We will recommend coverage around its exact body construction and ownership goals.

Window tint

Ceramic Window Tint for Lotus Vehicles

Ceramic window tint can improve heat rejection and cabin comfort, reduce glare and UV exposure, and add privacy based on the selected shade.

Lotus sports cars and newer electric models range from compact two-seat cabins to larger performance-oriented glass areas. Low seating positions, frameless door glass, steep windshields, and rear or roof glass should be evaluated on the exact vehicle so shade and coverage support visibility as well as heat rejection.

Select a shade below to compare visible light transmission (VLT) levels and find the balance of appearance, privacy, and visibility that fits your Lotus.

Visible light transmission describes how much light passes through. Lower numbers look darker. We use actual samples and check the glass-and-film combination before settling on a shade.

Windshield protection film

Add a Replaceable Protective Layer to Your Lotus Windshield

Windshield protection film is installed on the exterior of the glass to help absorb impacts from ordinary road debris before they reach the factory windshield.

Lotus owners who tour, travel to events, drive seasonally, or want to preserve original glass may benefit from windshield film as a replaceable exterior layer against ordinary road debris. This can be useful for sports cars and limited-production models. Availability depends on the exact windshield and its condition.

The film is replaceable, but it is also a wear item. Appearance and service life depend on mileage, road exposure, storage, maintenance, wiper use, and driving conditions.

Why Lotus Owners Choose Windshield Protection Film

Installed on the Exterior

We inspect the windshield, shape, existing damage, wiper access, and installation suitability. General categories start at $350 for qualifying short windshields and $550 for standard or larger glass.

Six-Month Restore Service

Mileage, road conditions, wiper use, storage, and care affect clarity and service life. Routine care is needed between visits. The complimentary six-month Restore application is explained on the service page.

Replaced When Worn

XPEL’s stated 12-month or 12,000-mile defect warranty is subject to its terms. Damage from road use and normal wear need to be assessed separately from a product defect.

Vinyl wraps

Personalize Your Lotus With Vinyl Wrap

Vinyl wrap gives Lotus owners a removable alternative to permanent repainting through full color changes, roof treatments, stripes, and selected intake or aero accents. We will review the vehicle’s finish, existing film, composite or carbon-fiber details, and moving aero before finalizing coverage.

Lotus questions

Lotus Protection And Customization FAQs

Find answers to common questions about protecting, styling, and adding electronics to your Lotus, including pricing, compatibility, vehicle condition, installation, and scheduling.

What PPF coverage makes sense for a Lotus?

The right PPF coverage depends on the exact Lotus and how it is used. Front-End Defense protects the complete front end, while Apex Defense adds rocker panels, A-pillars, and the leading roof when expanded highway or lower-body coverage is appropriate. Low noses, exposed rockers, side intakes, wide rear quarters, lightweight composite or carbon-fiber construction, active aero, specialty finishes, repaired areas, existing film, and road or track use must be reviewed before expanded or full-body coverage is finalized.

How much does Lotus paint protection film cost?

Lotus Standard gloss PPF packages start at $1,595 for sedans/coupes or $1,795 for SUVs/trucks for Strike Zone coverage. Complete full-front protection starts at $2,295 for sedans/coupes or $2,495 for SUVs/trucks, Apex Defense starts at $3,195 for sedans/coupes or $3,495 for SUVs/trucks, and full-body PPF starts at $6,995 for sedans/coupes or $7,995 for SUVs/trucks. Final pricing depends on the model, trim, film, paint condition, existing film, and requested coverage.

Can ceramic coating be used on Lotus composite panels, carbon fiber, specialty finishes, PPF, wheels, and calipers?

Yes, suitable composite panels, clear-coated carbon fiber, specialty finishes, compatible PPF, wheels, and calipers on a Lotus can be coated with products matched to each surface. Ceramic coating improves slickness, water behavior, gloss on suitable finishes, and ease of cleaning, but it does not provide rock-chip protection. Each material and finish must be inspected and matched to a compatible product.

How should ceramic tint be selected for a Lotus?

Tint should be selected after reviewing the exact Lotus glass configuration and the driver's heat, glare, privacy, and visibility goals. Ceramic film can improve heat rejection even where factory privacy glass already changes the appearance of rear glass. Low cabins, frameless or specialty glass, rear visibility, expansive EV roof glass, windshield sensor housings, and driver visibility should be reviewed before the film and shade are selected.

How is remote-start compatibility checked across Lotus gasoline, electric, performance, and collector vehicles?

Remote-start compatibility must be confirmed for the exact Lotus before a system is recommended. Model year, powertrain, transmission, factory equipment, connected services, and modifications can change the available functions. Electric, performance, specialty, manual-transmission, and collector vehicles require an individual compatibility and power-management review.

Can IGLA, SPYNEX, or another compatible immobilizer be installed on a Lotus?

An aftermarket immobilizer may be available for a Lotus, but compatibility is not assumed. The exact model, model year, electronic platform, and supported system must be reviewed before recommending IGLA, SPYNEX, or another option. Authorization methods and daily-use functions depend on the selected system.

Is GPS tracking useful for a Lotus kept seasonally, stored, or transported?

GPS tracking can add location visibility, movement alerts, and useful vehicle information for a Lotus used for seasonal ownership, storage, track travel, or transport. Available functions, cellular coverage, and update frequency depend on the hardware, service plan, signal conditions, and system configuration. Tracking does not prevent theft or guarantee recovery.

Can Lotus composite or carbon-fiber panels be vinyl wrapped?

Selected Lotus composite or clear-coated carbon-fiber panels may be wrapped only after the exact material, finish, repairs, and existing film are inspected. Panel construction, complex aero, seams, moving components, and surface condition can affect film suitability and removal. Vinyl does not repair damaged surfaces, and safe removal cannot be guaranteed on repaired, failing, or compromised finishes.

Can you work on a pre-owned Lotus with existing PPF, repaired composite panels, or specialty surfaces?

Yes, pre-owned, recently produced, electric, performance, track-oriented, and collector Lotus vehicles can be evaluated for protection, appearance, and compatible electronics. We inspect paint condition, prior repairs, repainted panels, existing film or coating, contamination, glass damage, modifications, specialty materials, and electronic-platform compatibility as relevant. Some conditions may limit installation or require correction, but correction is not always possible.

How long will the installation take?

Window tint may be completed during one appointment. Full-front PPF, coatings, wraps, full-body PPF, or combined packages may require multiple days. The expected schedule is provided after the vehicle and selected services are reviewed.
