Start with what matters

What Would You Like to Improve on Your Tesla?

Tesla vehicles combine high-mileage EV use, low aerodynamic bodywork, expansive glass, and minimalist interiors, making road protection, heat rejection, easier maintenance, and personalized styling common priorities. The goal cards below provide practical starting points based on different ownership priorities.

Find your Tesla

Protection and Customization by Tesla Model

Tesla recommendations should address large glass areas, smooth painted panels, lower rocker exposure, family or commuter use, and wheel and interior care. These starting points can be adjusted for exact model, wheel package, finish, mileage, existing film, and individual protection or comfort goals.

XPEL paint protection film

XPEL Paint Protection Film for Tesla Vehicles

Paint protection film creates a physical barrier over painted and suitable clear-coated surfaces to help reduce damage from road debris, minor abrasions, insects, staining, and regular driving exposure.

Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X vehicles commonly need protection around the front bumper, hood, fenders, rocker panels, and lower doors, especially with frequent highway use. Cybertruck stainless-steel panels require a separate surface and film assessment rather than standard painted-surface guidance.

Front-End Defense

Full-front coverage for regular driving and commuting.

Compare XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS, ULTIMATE FUSION, and STEALTH. Preserving a factory matte finish and converting gloss paint to satin require different coverage planning.

Fit & installation

We use modified patterns, bulk installation, or custom techniques where appropriate. Edges, badges, access, and the condition of the existing finish are reviewed with the vehicle.

Care & follow-up

Follow the wash restrictions and film care instructions provided at pickup. Return for the complimentary three-week inspection required for continued workmanship coverage.

Window tint

Ceramic Window Tint for Tesla Vehicles

Ceramic window tint can improve heat rejection and cabin comfort, reduce glare and UV exposure, and create a more balanced appearance across the vehicle.

Tesla sedans, SUVs, and trucks use expansive windshields, large rear glass, and fixed roof glass with vehicle-specific factory treatment. Dark rear glass can still be evaluated for compatible ceramic film and heat rejection, while roof glass and large windshield areas should be reviewed separately rather than included automatically.

Factory privacy glass

Dark rear glass changes appearance, but the color alone does not tell you its heat performance. Ceramic film can be added to suitable glass after reviewing the combined shade.

Choose VLT in person

Visible light transmission describes how much light passes through. Lower numbers look darker. We use actual samples and check the glass-and-film combination before settling on a shade.

Keep the windows up for the instructed curing period and follow the cleaning guidance at pickup. Temporary haze or moisture can occur as the film dries.

Windshield protection film

Add a Replaceable Protective Layer to Your Tesla Windshield

Windshield protection film is installed on the exterior of the glass to help absorb impacts from ordinary road debris before they reach the factory windshield.

Tesla owners with high commuter or road-trip mileage may benefit from windshield film as a replaceable exterior layer against ordinary road debris. The service can be useful across sedans, SUVs, and Cybertruck vehicles based on actual exposure. Availability depends on the exact windshield and its condition.

The film is replaceable, but it is also a wear item. Appearance and service life depend on mileage, road exposure, storage, maintenance, wiper use, and driving conditions.

Why Tesla Owners Choose Windshield Protection Film

Installed on the Exterior

We inspect the windshield, shape, existing damage, wiper access, and installation suitability. General categories start at $350 for qualifying short windshields and $550 for standard or larger glass.

Six-Month Restore Service

Mileage, road conditions, wiper use, storage, and care affect clarity and service life. Routine care is needed between visits. The complimentary six-month Restore application is explained on the service page.

Replaced When Worn

XPEL’s stated 12-month or 12,000-mile defect warranty is subject to its terms. Damage from road use and normal wear need to be assessed separately from a product defect.

Vinyl wraps

Personalize Your Tesla With Vinyl Wrap

Vinyl wrap gives Tesla owners a removable way to change the appearance of painted body panels through full color changes, contrasting roofs, and selected accents without committing to a permanent repaint. We will review the vehicle’s current finish and existing film, with separate consideration for Cybertruck stainless-steel panels.

Plan Your Tesla Wrap Transformation

Choose How You Want To Transform Your Tesla

A complete color change, contrasting roof, or selected panel accent can be planned for painted Tesla models, while Cybertruck requires a separate material review.

Final pricing depends on film, coverage, design complexity, and installation access. Repainted panels, damaged clear coat, and older repairs need a separate condition review. Removal results depend on the underlying finish.

Tesla questions

Tesla Protection And Customization FAQs

Find answers to common questions about protecting, styling, and adding electronics to your Tesla, including pricing, compatibility, vehicle condition, installation, and scheduling.

What PPF coverage makes sense for a painted Tesla or Cybertruck?

The right PPF coverage depends on the exact Tesla and how it is used. Front-End Defense and Apex Defense can be considered for suitable painted Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X vehicles based on road and lower-body exposure. Cybertruck stainless-steel panels require a separate surface and film assessment, and standard painted-vehicle full-body guidance is not assumed.

How much does Tesla paint protection film cost, and why is Cybertruck reviewed separately?

Tesla Standard gloss PPF packages start at $1,595 for sedans/coupes or $1,795 for SUVs/trucks for Strike Zone coverage. Complete full-front protection starts at $2,295 for sedans/coupes or $2,495 for SUVs/trucks, Apex Defense starts at $3,195 for sedans/coupes or $3,495 for SUVs/trucks, and full-body PPF starts at $6,995 for sedans/coupes or $7,995 for SUVs/trucks for suitable painted vehicles. Cybertruck is reviewed separately because its stainless-steel exterior does not use ordinary painted-surface assumptions.

How should ceramic tint be selected for a Tesla?

Tint should be selected after reviewing the exact Tesla glass configuration and the driver's heat, glare, privacy, and visibility goals. Ceramic film can improve heat rejection even where factory privacy glass already changes the appearance of rear glass. The large windshield, rear glass, expansive roof glass, camera and sensor areas, driver visibility, and any factory-treated glass should be reviewed before the film and shade are selected.

Can Tesla paint, PPF, wheels, exterior glass, and interiors be ceramic coated?

Yes, compatible paint, compatible PPF, wheels, exterior glass, and interior surfaces on a Tesla can be coated with products matched to each surface. Ceramic coating improves slickness, water behavior, gloss on suitable finishes, and ease of cleaning, but it does not provide rock-chip protection. Cybertruck stainless steel and other non-painted surfaces require separate product and suitability review.

How are remote climate and convenience functions handled on a Tesla?

Tesla's factory app-based climate and convenience functions remain the primary option. Conventional aftermarket remote start is not presented as a standard recommendation. Other compatible electronics can be reviewed separately for the exact vehicle.

Can an aftermarket immobilizer be installed on a Tesla?

An aftermarket immobilizer may be available for a Tesla, but compatibility is not assumed. The exact model, model year, electronic platform, and supported system must be reviewed before IGLA, SPYNEX, or another immobilizer is recommended. Available authorization methods and operating behavior depend on the supported system.

How does an aftermarket dashcam or parking-mode system fit with Tesla factory cameras and power management?

An aftermarket dashcam may add separate footage and storage, but compatibility with the exact Tesla and its power-management behavior must be reviewed. Factory cameras and an aftermarket camera are different systems, and one does not guarantee the functions or footage of the other. Parking duration and event capture depend on the selected camera, settings, battery condition, and vehicle support.

Is windshield protection film useful for Tesla's large windshield?

Windshield protection film can be worthwhile for a Tesla used for high mileage, highway travel, winter roads, large-glass exposure, or original-glass preservation. Fitment and the existing glass condition must be confirmed before installation. The exterior film is a replaceable wear item, so clarity, service life, maintenance, and eventual replacement depend on mileage, wiper use, storage, and road exposure.

Can a Tesla be coordinated from a delivery center, seller, or other approved delivery source?

A Tesla may be coordinated from a delivery center, seller, or other approved delivery source when the owner and that source approve the arrangement. Kickin' Customs does not imply an official manufacturer or seller relationship, and pickup, delivery, or transportation is not automatic.

How long will the installation take?

Window tint may be completed during one appointment. Full-front PPF, coatings, wraps, full-body PPF, or combined packages may require multiple days. The expected schedule is provided after the vehicle and selected services are reviewed.
