Four products, different benefits

What Would You Like to Improve?

Help protect the finish from everyday scuffs, reduce heat and glare inside the cabin, or make routine washing easier. XPEL’s marine range includes clear protection film, window tint, FUSION PLUS MARINE V2 ceramic coating and protection for compatible navigation screens. We help you match the product to the part of your boat you want to improve.

Start with a question or choose a product below. You do not need measurements or a complete plan to contact us. If you want to discuss several areas, the optional planner lets you add those details.

Find the right fit

Four Ways to Care for Your Boat

Clear protection film being fitted to a white boat hull

01 / Protect the Finish

Marine Protection Film

A clear, replaceable film that helps protect suitable paint, gelcoat and engine covers above the waterline from light scuffs and everyday abrasion. Your original finish remains visible.

We plan the covered areas, edges and seams around your boat. Film does not repair existing damage or replace bottom paint.

02 / Cabin Comfort

Marine Window Film

Help reduce heat, glare and UV exposure through suitable boat windows. We help you compare shade and appearance while keeping your view from the helm clear.

Glass and plastic windows need different film systems. We check the window material and how you use the boat, including visibility at night.

03 / Easier Cleaning

FUSION PLUS MARINE V2

A clear ceramic coating that helps water and everyday contamination release more readily during proper washing, making suitable prepared finishes easier to clean.

Coating does not provide the physical wear layer of protection film. Regular washing and care are still needed.

04 / Your Navigation Display

Navigation-Screen Protection

Ask about protection for your navigation display if fingerprints, glare or everyday screen contact are a concern.

We check your screen model and available film before recommending it, including touch controls and visibility. Ordinary paint protection film or ceramic coating is not a substitute.

Plan the work together

Combine Products Around Your Priorities

Protection Film & Ceramic Coating

Protect selected contact areas with film, then consider a compatible coating where easier cleaning matters. We check that the products work together. Not every film needs an additional coating.

Window Tint & Surface Protection

Reduce cabin heat and glare while protecting suitable exterior finishes. We can coordinate both jobs and explain when each treated area can be cleaned or used.

Color, Names & Graphics

Marine vinyl wrapping can change your boat’s color or add names and graphics. Wrapping is a separate service, and we confirm the film brand and care instructions in your proposal.

We explain which products go where, the order of installation, and the care and warranty for each. Vinyl wrapping normally requires the boat to be out of the water, dry, stable and properly supported in a protected setting.

We check the details for you

The Right Product for Your Boat’s Surfaces

Paint & Gelcoat

Film and coating work best on a sound, properly prepared finish. We check for peeling, damage, fading and old wax or coatings. Gelcoat is the outer finish found on many fiberglass boats. Any repairs are discussed before installation.

Boat Windows

Boat windows may be glass or clear plastic, such as acrylic or polycarbonate. Some plastics need an additional film layer to help prevent bubbles. We identify the material and suitable film before installation. Flexible clear enclosures need a separate check.

Navigation Screens

Tell us the display make and model. We check whether a suitable screen film is available and whether it preserves clear viewing, touch controls and normal use. The film must also follow the display manufacturer’s instructions.

A Clear View, Day and Night

A darker window is not always the right choice for the helm. We consider glare, reflections and your view at night, along with the window’s shape, existing coatings and wipers. Tint may provide daytime privacy, but people can still see inside when the cabin is brighter than the outdoors.

For navigation screens, we check that the chosen film works with the display and keeps touch controls and the view clear.

Where These Products Can Be Used

Marine protection products are not a replacement for bottom paint or products designed for parts that stay underwater. Walking areas, textured surfaces, flexible materials and safety equipment need their own checks. We keep drains, vents, controls, safety markings and emergency exits clear.

We also ask how your boat is used and stored. A sailboat that leans in the water, a pontoon with ridged panels or a personal watercraft used near shore can need a different installation plan. Access and time out of use are discussed before scheduling.

Advice through installation

From Your First Question to the Finished Work

  1. Tell Us Your Goal

Tell us about your boat and what you want to improve. A detailed area list is optional.

  2. Choose the Right Products

We check the finish, windows or display, their condition and the manufacturer’s requirements.

  3. Review Your Proposal

Review the preparation, covered areas, installation location, price and timing before work begins.

  4. Prepare, Install and Inspect

We prepare the agreed areas, install the selected products, inspect the result and explain when and how to clean, cover and use each treated area.

We handle the agreed installation and explain what you need to arrange separately, such as repairs, hauling or marina access. Your proposal confirms these details before scheduling.

XPEL publishes a three-year limited warranty for qualifying Marine Protection Film installations above the waterline. Coverage depends on the exact product, installation and written terms. For FUSION PLUS MARINE V2, XPEL’s technical data sheet lists six hours of drying and three days of curing. Follow your project’s instructions for launching, washing, covering and transport.

XPEL Marine FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Is XPEL Marine Protection one product?

No. The range includes Marine Protection Film, Marine Window Film, FUSION PLUS MARINE V2 ceramic coating and protection for compatible navigation screens. Each has a different purpose.

Which XPEL marine product should I start with?

Start with what you want to improve. Consider protection film for everyday scuffs, window tint for cabin heat and glare, coating for easier cleaning, or screen protection for a compatible navigation display. We can help you choose.

Can one product protect the entire boat?

No. Paint, windows, screens and walking surfaces have different needs. We check each area and recommend products that suit its material, condition and use.

Is Marine Protection Film the same as ceramic coating?

No. Protection film adds a replaceable physical layer that helps protect against light scuffs and everyday abrasion. Ceramic coating is a thin treatment that helps water and contamination release more easily during proper washing.

Can XPEL Marine Protection replace bottom paint?

No. These films and coatings do not replace bottom paint, which helps manage marine growth on underwater surfaces. Parts that stay underwater need products specifically designed for that use.

Can window film go on every boat window?

Not every window is suitable. We check whether it is glass, plastic or a flexible enclosure, along with existing coatings, its shape and your view from the helm. The chosen film must suit the material and any applicable visibility requirements.

Will Marine Window Film make the cabin private at night?

Not reliably. When the cabin is brighter than the outdoors, people may be able to see inside. We explain the daytime and nighttime limits of the chosen film before installation.

Can ceramic coating go over Marine Protection Film?

Sometimes. We check that the coating is suitable for the exact film and its condition. We also explain the installation order, cleaning instructions and separate warranties. Additional coating is not necessary for every film.

Does XPEL make marine navigation-screen protection?

XPEL includes screen protection in its marine range. We need to confirm an available product for your specific display, including clear viewing, touch controls, cleaning and warranty terms.

Is marine vinyl wrapping part of XPEL Marine Protection?

Marine vinyl wrapping is a separate appearance service. We can help coordinate it with other work, but your proposal identifies the actual wrap film and its manufacturer.

How long do the products last?

There is no single lifespan for the whole range. The product, preparation, exposure, cleaning and storage all matter. We explain the expected care and applicable warranty for your chosen products.

What warranty does XPEL Marine Protection include?

Each product has its own written terms. XPEL publishes a three-year limited warranty for qualifying Marine Protection Film installations above the waterline. Your issued warranty confirms the coverage and exclusions for the actual product and installation.

How is the work priced?

Your quote depends on the products, covered areas, condition, preparation and access to the boat. We also plan installation time, drying or curing time and any work that needs to happen first. These details are confirmed in your written proposal.

What do you need for a consultation?

Start with your boat, what you want to improve and your general town or project area. Timing and known damage are helpful, but measurements and photos are optional. Ask us how to share useful records privately. Do not enter access codes, registration details, an exact storage location or private navigation information in the planner.
