Connected control needs compatible hardware, an account, an eligible active service plan after the applicable trial, phone access and permissions, available LTE service, and supported vehicle commands. Buildings and underground parking can interrupt service.
GPS tracking and Car Alarm alerts are separate functions. They require appropriate equipment and plans; basic phone control does not automatically include them. A remote alone also does not add an immobilizer or dashcam.
Use either control method when its connection is available. Handheld remote operation does not require a cellular plan.

Your exact vehicle, trim, transmission, powertrain, ignition type, and factory security determine the equipment and work needed.

Some compatible vehicles allow factory-key Remote Start alongside dedicated remotes. It can be a convenient nearby option without changing what you carry.
It normally retains the factory remote’s shorter range. It does not automatically add two-way confirmation, phone control, GPS, or an alarm.
Entry, lock behavior, shutdown, climate functions, and takeover are vehicle-specific. Some vehicles require a normal restart before driving.

Some compatible vehicles can retain factory-key activation, usually at the factory remote’s shorter range. It does not automatically add two-way confirmation, DroneMobile, GPS, or Car Alarm protection. Entry and takeover are vehicle-specific; some vehicles require a normal restart before driving.
