What Is XPEL FUSION PLUS Ceramic Coating?
XPEL FUSION PLUS is a family of professionally applied ceramic coatings for different vehicle surfaces. The appropriate product is selected for the paint, compatible PPF, glass, wheels, trim, or upholstery being treated.
On suitable paint and compatible PPF, the selected coating cures into a thin surface layer that changes how water and everyday contamination interact with the finish.
The practical benefits depend on matching the formula to the surface, preparing it correctly, and caring for it afterward.

Water-Repellent Surface Behavior
Hydrophobic means water-repellent. Water beads and releases more readily from suitable coated surfaces. Proper drying still matters because minerals can leave water spots.

Easier Care for Paint and Compatible PPF
Road film, bugs and grime can release more easily during proper washing. Appropriate XPEL PPF can benefit too, with the coating selected for the film and its condition.

A Formula for the Intended Finish
Gloss coatings support reflections and color depth. SATIN is selected to maintain the intended low sheen of suitable matte paint, satin paint and XPEL STEALTH PPF.

Products for Different Vehicle Surfaces
Glass, wheels, trim and upholstery need products designed for those materials. One coating formula is not a universal treatment for everything on your vehicle.

Product-Specific Warranty Coverage
Each product has its own limited warranty, qualifying surfaces and care requirements. The term helps you compare ownership plans; it does not promise damage-free or maintenance-free use.

The Coating Product and Installation Package Are Different
LITE, CLASSIC, PREMIUM and SATIN identify the coating formulations. Your Kickin’ Customs package identifies the preparation, installation work and included services.
| Installation package | Coating product | Preparation and included work |
|---|---|---|
| Core Protection | LITE | Quick preparation and no machine polishing. |
| Plus Protection | CLASSIC | One-step polishing on suitable glossy paint. |
| Elite Protection | PREMIUM | One-step polishing on suitable glossy paint. |
| Signature Protection | PREMIUM | Two-step correction where safe, IR-assisted curing where appropriate, and the first annual maintenance wash. |
| Signature Complete | PREMIUM | Signature preparation and its separately defined additional services. |
| Matte / Satin Protection | SATIN | Preparation appropriate to the low-sheen finish, without normal gloss-paint polishing. |
A longer product warranty is not a guarantee of perfect water beading or freedom from damage. Care requirements and warranty eligibility depend on the installed product and surface. Check the product-specific warranty terms.

Ceramic Coating, Paint Correction and PPF: Different Roles
Paint correction improves suitable glossy paint through machine polishing that reduces swirls or haze. Ceramic coating is applied afterward to support water repellency, easier cleaning and the intended appearance. It will not hide missing paint, deep scratches or a failing surface.
Preparation matters because the coating is clear. Cleaning removes bonded contamination and residue; appropriate polishing refines suitable glossy paint before it is coated. Matte paint and PPF need methods suited to those materials, rather than conventional gloss-paint correction.
PPF is the separate physical layer for reducing road-debris damage on covered panels. Coating improves surface behavior; it does not absorb impacts or make paint scratch-proof. The two can work together when the film and coating are compatible. ULTIMATE FUSION already has a hydrophobic topcoat, so an additional coating is not automatically necessary.
FUSION PLUS is the ceramic-coating family. ULTIMATE FUSION is a paint protection film.

XPEL Ceramic Coating: Common Myths and Facts
It is one coating with different warranty lengths.
Fact: LITE, CLASSIC, PREMIUM and SATIN are different formulations. Choose for the surface, intended finish and ownership plan, not the warranty term alone.
Ceramic coating replaces PPF.
Fact: Coating changes surface behavior. PPF adds a physical film for covered areas against road debris and other damage within its intended use.
Ceramic coating makes paint scratch-proof.
Fact: Poor washing and everyday contact can still scratch a coated finish. Use clean, suitable wash materials and careful drying techniques.
A coated vehicle does not need washing.
Fact: Regular washing is still necessary. A coating helps ordinary contamination release more easily; it does not keep a vehicle clean indefinitely.
Coating hides scratches and paint damage.
Fact: The clear coating leaves underlying defects visible. Suitable polishing may improve some marks; chips, missing paint and failing finishes may need repair.
SATIN makes matte or satin finishes shiny.
Fact: SATIN is selected for appropriate low-sheen paint and STEALTH PPF to maintain their intended appearance. Product selection and preparation must suit the material.
Coatings for Different Vehicle Surfaces
Protection Beyond Painted Panels
FUSION PLUS includes products designed for different materials. We confirm the surface, its condition and the appropriate coating before application; a paint coating is not a universal substitute for these products.

XPEL FUSION PLUS Product Warranties
LITE has a one-year limited product warranty, CLASSIC four years, PREMIUM v2 eight years, and SATIN four years. These terms cover specified failures from a qualifying manufacturing defect, subject to the product document’s conditions and exclusions.
CLASSIC, PREMIUM v2 and SATIN contain annual-inspection requirements. LITE’s current document has no separate annual-inspection clause, but its care and installation requirements still apply. Use the requirements for the product revision on your installation paperwork.
SATIN’s warranty document describes eligible paint finishes. Suitability for XPEL STEALTH PPF does not automatically establish identical warranty coverage. Read product-specific coverage, inspections and documents.
Caring for XPEL FUSION PLUS Ceramic Coatings
For our paint and compatible PPF coating work, Kickin’ Customs recommends no washing for seven days and gentle handling for approximately two to three weeks. Initial water exposure and full cure depend on the actual product; glass, wheels, upholstery, and trim have separate pickup instructions.
Once washing is permitted, use appropriate products and clean wash materials, dry the surface, and remove bugs, bird droppings, salt, road film, and mineral deposits promptly. Avoid abrasive wash media and unsuitable cleaners. Water spots remain possible. Use the coating care guide for washing, troubleshooting, and maintenance products.

XPEL FUSION PLUS Ceramic Coating FAQs
What is XPEL FUSION PLUS?
XPEL FUSION PLUS is a family of professionally applied ceramic coatings for different vehicle surfaces. The appropriate formula helps with water repellency, easier cleaning, and the intended appearance of suitable paint, PPF, or other approved materials.
How do I choose LITE, CLASSIC, PREMIUM, or SATIN?
Choose for the finish, ownership plan, and preparation needed. LITE is the shorter-term gloss product in Core Protection, with quick preparation and no machine polishing. CLASSIC pairs with Plus Protection and one-step polishing on suitable glossy paint. PREMIUM is used in Elite, Signature, and Signature Complete, with different preparation and included services. SATIN suits eligible matte or satin paint and XPEL STEALTH PPF; confirm other wraps and specialty finishes individually. Check warranty eligibility separately from application compatibility.
Are these just one coating with different warranty lengths?
No. They are distinct product formulas for different finishes and goals. The installed product and preparation matter as well as the warranty term.
Why do Elite and Signature use the same coating?
Both use PREMIUM. Elite includes one-step polishing on suitable glossy paint; Signature adds two-step correction where safe, IR-assisted curing where appropriate, and the first annual maintenance wash. The preparation and included services distinguish the plans.
Does XPEL FUSION PLUS replace Paint Protection Film?
No. FUSION PLUS supports water repellency, easier cleaning and the intended finish. PPF provides a separate physical protective layer on covered areas. Compatible coating and film can be used together, but coating alone does not provide rock-chip protection.
Can coating be applied over PPF?
Yes, where the film, condition, coating, and current guidance are compatible. PPF continues to provide physical protection. ULTIMATE FUSION already has a water-repellent topcoat, so an additional coating is not automatically needed.
Can SATIN be used on matte paint or STEALTH?
SATIN is designed for suitable low-sheen paint and XPEL STEALTH PPF. Preparation and care preserve the intended sheen. The linked warranty’s surface coverage must be checked separately; compatibility is not a promise of the same warranty on paint, film, or vinyl.
Does coating hide scratches or prevent rock chips?
No. Correctable paint marks are addressed in preparation, while missing paint or failing finishes may need repair. Coating supports maintenance. PPF is a separate physical layer for reducing road-debris damage.
Can I coat other parts of the vehicle?
Yes, with suitable surface-specific products for wheels and calipers, exterior glass, plastic and trim, and eligible upholstery. Not every material, screen, or functional component is suitable.
Do I still need to wash a coated vehicle?
Yes. Coated vehicles still need regular washing, proper drying, prompt contamination removal and the applicable inspections. The coating makes suitable cleaning easier; it does not eliminate maintenance. Follow your installed product’s pickup guidance and the care guide.
Does FUSION PLUS require annual inspections?
CLASSIC, PREMIUM v2 and SATIN have annual-inspection clauses with specific timing and recordkeeping requirements. LITE’s current document has no separate annual-inspection clause, but care requirements still apply. Follow your installed product’s paperwork and the product-specific warranty guide.
