Water Releases More Readily
Water beads and releases more readily from ULTIMATE FUSION’s surface, helping rinse water run off and making covered panels easier to dry.

High-gloss, self-healing paint protection film with a built-in hydrophobic topcoat for easier washing and maintenance.
Protect your paint from everyday road debris and make routine cleanup easier with XPEL ULTIMATE FUSION. This clear, high-gloss paint protection film combines physical paint protection with a built-in water-repellent surface. Installed by Kickin’ Customs in Raynham, serving Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
In our installation experience, ULTIMATE FUSION is the nicest-looking clear film we install. We find it clearer and glossier, with less visible orange-peel texture than the other clear films we work with.
Water beads and releases more readily from ULTIMATE FUSION’s surface, helping rinse water run off and making covered panels easier to dry.
The slick surface helps routine road film, pollen, bug residue and seasonal grime release during washing, making everyday cleanup easier.
Regular washing and drying are still necessary. Remove bug residue and other contamination promptly.
Both are clear, self-healing Paint Protection Films designed to protect factory paint. The defining difference is the surface behavior.

Careful surface preparation, fitting and finishing help produce a clean, high-gloss result. We plan ULTIMATE FUSION coverage around your vehicle and inspect the installation before collection.
Kickin’ Customs is fully licensed and insured.
We inspect paint condition, chips, scratches, touch-up, repainting, body repairs, existing film and coatings before installation. The vehicle is then washed and decontaminated so bonded contamination is not trapped beneath the film.
Because the film is clear, existing paint defects can remain visible. Paint correction or touch-up can be discussed when appearance is a priority.
We use vehicle-specific patterns, modified precuts, custom coverage and suitable bulk methods where appropriate for the panel and desired finish.
Accessible edges are wrapped where panel design and installation conditions allow.
Film is installed in our climate-controlled, brightly lit Raynham facility. We inspect alignment, contamination, stretch, edges and finish before delivery, review aftercare and schedule the complimentary three-week inspection.
We plan applicable emblem removal and accessible edge finishing around your vehicle, confirming the details before installation.

XPEL provides ten-year limited coverage for qualifying film defects including yellowing, cracking, blistering and delamination. Four-year additional coverage addresses qualifying oxidation, loss of gloss, UV damage and fading. This is not a blanket guarantee of water-beading performance.
XPEL manufacturer warranty requirement: ULTIMATE FUSION requires annual inspection throughout the warranty period by an XPEL certified Fusion installer within 30 days before or after the installation anniversary or previous inspection/service date. Keep inspection records; charges may apply. XPEL states that missing the required inspection window will void its limited warranty.
This annual visit is separate from the Kickin’ Customs three-week workmanship inspection. Coverage and claim approval follow the current written product terms.
Review XPEL PPF warranty coverageThe complimentary three-week inspection is required for Kickin’ Customs workmanship coverage. We check settling, edges and alignment.
Wait seven days before washing the vehicle. Bird droppings, bugs, and sap should still be removed promptly, including during this waiting period. Gently clean the affected area without scrubbing or disturbing film edges.
Contact us if contamination will not come off with gentle cleaning. Contact us immediately if an edge lifts or flaps, or if dirt or contamination enters an open edge or reaches exposed adhesive.
Allow approximately two to three weeks for settling. For routine washing after the waiting period, use pH-neutral soap and clean wash media.
Wait until the film is fully cured before pressure washing. Keep the nozzle at least three feet from film edges and never direct pressure into edges, seams or corners.
Apply XPEL Ceramic Boost at least every six months to help preserve gloss.

Both are clear protective films with self-healing topcoats. ULTIMATE FUSION includes a built-in hydrophobic surface for easier water and wash maintenance. ULTIMATE PLUS is the standard clear-gloss film choice.
Water can bead and release more readily from the protected surface, helping with rinsing and drying. Routine washing, drying and prompt contamination removal are still needed.
No. The physical film barrier and its hydrophobic surface apply to the covered panels. Uncovered paint remains outside that film coverage.
Yes. FUSION-covered panels can shed water differently from uncovered paint. Wider FUSION coverage extends that benefit across more panels. We can also discuss suitable care options for the remaining surfaces.
You do not need an additional coating to obtain FUSION’s built-in hydrophobic benefit. Coatings for unprotected paint, wheels, glass or other suitable surfaces are separate options.
Before adding a coating over ULTIMATE FUSION, ask us to confirm the product and current XPEL guidance.
No. Minerals can remain when water dries on the surface. Regular washing and drying are still important; hydrophobic does not mean water-spot-proof.
Water-repellent behavior can change with age, contamination and maintenance. Regular gentle washing and thorough drying help keep the surface clean. If water release remains reduced after cleaning, we can assess whether the film needs professional decontamination or maintenance.
Many fine marks in the topcoat can become less visible with warmth. Deep cuts, gouges and punctures do not self-heal.
No. PPF can help reduce damage from everyday road exposure, but severe impacts can damage the film or paint underneath.
Yes, it can be professionally removed. Paint condition matters, especially on older, repainted, repaired or poorly bonded surfaces. We assess known paint history before removal.
