GPS tracking and alarm alerts depend on the hardware, security equipment, and active plan. Basic phone control does not automatically include either.

What happens after you press Start?
- Heating & cooling
- Factory HVAC logic, vehicle settings, outside temperature, and supported integration determine behavior. Remote Start does not promise a specific cabin temperature.
- Seats, steering wheel & defrost
- Heated seats, a heated steering wheel, front defrost, rear defrost/defogger, and temperature reporting work only where supported.
- Getting in & driving away
- Takeover varies with ignition type and factory security. Some vehicles remain running; others shut down and require a normal restart.
- Other convenience functions
- Trunk, liftgate, sliding-door, and auxiliary controls are vehicle-specific. A release command does not necessarily mean powered opening and closing.

- Automatic & push-button
- Year, make, model, trim, ignition type, and factory equipment matter. A similar vehicle being compatible does not confirm yours.
- Manual transmission
- Some qualify with approved safety equipment and a demonstrated daily owner routine. Unsupported applications are declined.
- Diesel, hybrid & EV
- Diesels may need different starting behavior. Hybrid Remote Start and EV preconditioning depend on supported factory functions.
- Specialty vehicles & existing equipment
- Luxury, imported, modified, leased, or older vehicles receive individual review. Remote Start does not repair a weak battery, warning light, starting fault, or previous wiring issue.

Only where exhaust can disperse safely.
Never use Remote Start in an enclosed or attached garage, even with the door open. Keep the exhaust clear of snow, ice, and debris.
Never leave children, pets, or anyone requiring supervision unattended because Remote Start is active. It is not a reason to leave a running vehicle irresponsibly unattended.
Use the app only when safely parked. Follow local idling rules and your demonstrated operating guidance. Keep batteries healthy and address vehicle faults before relying on Remote Start.

What does a remote starter do?
It starts a compatible vehicle before you enter so the climate system can begin warming or cooling the cabin.
Which Compustar Remote Start should I choose?
Choose for your parking and preferred feedback: 1WG18 for simple control, 2WG18 for confirmation, Q9 for a screen, or R5/T13 for longer advertised range and included DroneMobile hardware.
What is the difference between one-way, two-way, and LCD?
One-way sends your command. Two-way can confirm receipt within working range; an LCD shows supported information. Confirmation does not guarantee cabin temperature.
How far will the remote actually work?
The advertised maximum is not guaranteed. Obstacles, terrain, interference, surroundings, weather, and remote battery condition affect everyday range.
Can I keep using my factory key?
Where supported, yes. Factory-key activation retains its shorter range and does not automatically add feedback, phone control, GPS, or an alarm.
Is DroneMobile included, and does it need a subscription?
R5/T13 include the hardware; 1WG18, 2WG18, and Q9 offer it optionally. Continued connected service needs an eligible subscription after the applicable 30-day trial, plus compatible hardware, account, phone permissions, and LTE.
Can push-button, manual, diesel, hybrid, or electric vehicles qualify?
We review your exact vehicle. Manuals need approved safety equipment and an owner routine; diesel starting and hybrid/EV preconditioning need individual confirmation.
Will heated seats, steering-wheel heat, and defrost activate?
Only where supported. Factory climate logic, settings, temperature, and installed integration determine which comfort functions work.
Will the vehicle stay running when I get in?
It depends on factory security and the installation. Some vehicles require a normal restart. We demonstrate your vehicle’s takeover routine at pickup.
Can I use Remote Start inside a garage?
Never use it in an enclosed or attached garage, even with the door open. Exhaust must disperse safely. Never leave children, pets, or anyone needing supervision unattended.
