FIND THE COLOR. CHOOSE THE RIGHT FILM.

Vinyl Wrap Materials & Brands

Hundreds of colors. Different finishes. More than one good brand. We’ll help you narrow the choices to a film that gives you the look you want and suits your vehicle.

START WITH YOUR CAR

Start With the Look, Then Choose the Right Film.

Quality film gives us a suitable material to work with. Careful preparation, consistent film orientation and thoughtful edges and joins determine how that material looks on the vehicle.

You don’t need to pick a manufacturer before talking to us. Start with the color, the finish and how much of the car you want to change. We’ll help narrow the options from there.

The right film also needs to suit the vehicle’s curves, the panels being wrapped and the condition of the paint. A color you love still needs to work on your car.

MORE THAN ONE COLOR LIBRARY

Which wrap brands do we work with?

We work with established automotive wrap-film lines from these manufacturers. There is no single brand that is the best fit for every vehicle and every look.

3M

Wrap Film Series 2080 is an established cast vehicle-wrap film for full wraps, partial wraps and accents, with a broad choice of colors and finishes.

Controltac helps installers reposition the film; Comply provides air-release channels. Gloss and high-gloss versions include a removable protective surface layer during installation. The exact finish and vehicle still determine whether it is a suitable choice.

Avery Dennison

Supreme Wrapping Film is a cast vehicle-wrap range with gloss, satin, matte and other finishes. Its ColorFlow family adds colors that change with the viewing angle.

Easy Apply RS helps with positioning, repositioning and air release during application. We compare the specific film with your vehicle’s shape, the appearance you want and the care routine you prefer. Specialty products can have different application limits.

ORAFOL / ORACAL

ORACAL 970RA Premium Wrapping Cast is a cast film designed for vehicle wrapping. RapidAir technology provides air-release channels, while its adhesive allows repositioning during installation.

The range includes gloss, matte and metallic choices, with related Special Effect and Shift Effect products for other visual effects. Confirm the exact film’s supported surfaces, contours and exposure conditions rather than assuming every 970RA finish has the same requirements.

KPMF

KPMF’s vehicle-wrapping ranges include VWS IV cast films in gloss, matte, metallic, pearlescent, iridescent and other effects, depending on the product.

KPMF is worth considering if you want a distinctive color or finish. We can help you compare available options, check which film suits your vehicle and explain how to care for the finish you choose.

KPMF product ranges

The best film depends on the exact product, desired appearance, vehicle, coverage and availability, not just the brand name.

We do not keep every brand, color or finish in stock. The recommendation and order depend on the exact film, your vehicle, current availability and manufacturer guidance.

A FEW TERMS WORTH UNDERSTANDING

What Makes a Good Automotive Wrap Film?

Cast vinyl
A film construction commonly used for premium vehicle wraps because suitable products can conform to curves and complex shapes. The specific film still needs to be approved for the intended surfaces.
Adhesive and air release
These features help a trained installer position the film and manage trapped air. They support careful application; they do not replace preparation or installation skill.
Conformability
This describes how well a particular film can follow curves, channels and details. A finish suitable for a flat roof may have different limits on a deeply shaped bumper.
Finish direction
Certain metallic, pearlescent, textured and color-shifting films need consistent orientation so neighboring panels look intentional. Directional requirements depend on the exact product.

WHAT KIND OF LOOK DO YOU WANT?

The finish changes the whole feel of the color.

A gloss blue, a satin black and a matte green can give the same vehicle very different personalities.

Illustrated Audi RS7 gloss finish preview

Gloss

A shiny, reflective finish for a polished look. Reflections become more pronounced in direct light. Compare a physical sample for color depth and surface appearance.

Illustrated Audi RS7 satin finish preview

Satin

A soft sheen between gloss and matte. Light spreads into softer reflections. Compare it beside gloss and matte samples, and choose care products approved for the film’s sheen.

Illustrated Audi RS7 matte finish preview

Matte

Low shine that draws attention to the car’s shape. Diffuse reflections make the color look different in sun and shade. Avoid polishing or products that can add unwanted shine.

Illustrated Audi RS7 metallic finish preview

Metallic

A finish with sparkle and depth that changes with the light. Metallic particles can appear brighter in sunlight than in shade. Compare viewing angles and confirm any installation-direction requirements.

Illustrated Audi RS7 color shift finish preview

Color Shift

A color effect that changes with the light and viewing angle. Walk around a physical sample to see its range of tones. Consistent film orientation matters where the manufacturer specifies it.

Specialty Finishes

Distinctive effects, such as this chrome-style preview, need a closer review for the chosen panels. Highly reflective and textured films can have different conformability and care limits. Confirm the chosen product for each panel rather than assuming it behaves like standard gloss.

Choosing a finish is optional. You can browse the guide without making a selection.

THE SCREEN IS NOT THE FINAL COLOR

See the film against your own vehicle.

Lighting can change how a color appears. Compare your film sample in sunlight, shade and indoor lighting.

Use screen previews to narrow your choices. When practical, make the final major color choice from a real physical sample beside your car.

Compare it with the paint, wheels and trim. Look in different light and from different angles. A finish can look quite different across a curved panel than it does on a flat sample.

Screens, lighting and production batches can vary. We confirm availability before finalizing the material; a color may be out of stock or discontinued.

Physical sample availability varies. Ask which samples we can show before making a special trip.

CHOOSE WHAT YOU WANT THE MATERIAL TO DO

Color film, printed vinyl or Color PPF?

I want a different color.

Color-change vinyl has its color and finish manufactured into the film. It is a style-first choice with a broad range of colors and finishes. Cosmetic vinyl does not provide the same rock-chip defense as PPF.

I want my own artwork.

With custom printed vinyl, the look comes from artwork printed for your project. Think personal graphics, patterns or a design that goes beyond a single film color. The print film, inks and any protective laminate must be compatible with the intended use.

I want protection and color.

Color PPF is the protection-first option. It combines a new color or finish with thicker film intended for meaningful protection from road impacts.

PLAN BEYOND THE FIRST DAY

How long will the finish look good?

There is no single lifespan for every vinyl wrap. The exact film, finish and color matter, along with sun exposure, storage, mileage, winter use and washing.

Hoods and roofs often age faster than the sides because they face more sun and weather. Specialty finishes may also need different care. We’ll explain the expectations for the film you select.

Warranty and appearance life are different.

A manufacturer’s warranty is not a promise that every panel will look unchanged for that whole period. Terms vary by product, application and care.

Keep an eye on aging film.

Report lifting, cracking or other changes early. Future removal depends partly on film age and paint condition, so it should be planned before the wrap becomes badly weathered.

THE NAME ON THE BOX IS ONLY THE START

Why use more than one brand?

Find the color you want.

Manufacturers have different color libraries and finish options. Looking across several brands gives us more ways to get close to your idea.

Compare physical samples

Choose a film that fits.

A roof, a mirror and a whole vehicle ask different things of the film. We check the product’s suitability for the panels and curves involved.

Know what comes later.

Manufacturer terms and replacement-film availability vary. We discuss the selected product, care and future repair considerations before the work begins.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

What else should I know about the material?

Is one brand always better than the others?

No. The right choice depends on the exact film, the finish you want, the vehicle and availability. We compare the product for your project rather than ranking every brand from best to worst.

What if the color I want is unavailable?

We check current availability before finalizing the film. If the color is out of stock or discontinued, we can discuss another suitable option rather than promise a material we cannot obtain.

Will better film hide damaged paint?

No. Vinyl follows the surface underneath. Chips, rust, peeling clear coat and previous repairs need review before wrapping. Film does not repair paint.

Can a damaged panel be matched later?

Replacement film may be available, but colors can be discontinued or vary between batches. New film may also look different beside a wrap that has aged in the sun.

Do I need to know the brand before asking for a quote?

No. Tell us the vehicle, color direction, finish and panels you want changed. We can help you compare materials as part of planning the work.

What is cast vinyl, and why is it used for vehicle wraps?

Cast vinyl describes how the film is made. Vehicle-specific cast wrap films are designed to follow suitable curves and contours, making them useful for automotive restyling. The exact product’s application limits still matter; not every cast film is intended for a complete vehicle wrap.

Is thicker vinyl automatically better?

No. Thickness is one specification, not an overall quality rating. Construction, adhesive, finish, conformability and the intended application all matter. Choose a product that suits the vehicle and purpose rather than judging it by thickness alone.

Can the same film last equally long on a roof and a door?

Not necessarily. Roofs and other upward-facing surfaces receive different sun and weather exposure than vertical doors. Manufacturers may publish different durability or warranty limits for those positions. Check the selected product’s terms and inspect exposed panels regularly.
