Blind spots remain. Pillars, bodywork, headrests, cargo, glass, tint, light, weather, and camera angles affect what is visible. Three cameras do not provide complete 360-degree exterior coverage.

Wi-Fi and LTE do different jobs.

Local Wi-Fi

Connect your phone near the camera for settings, playback, and downloads. It does not provide remote viewing from across town.

LTE / Cloud

Supported remote viewing, alerts, GPS, and Cloud features need compatible hardware, an account, active service, permissions, cellular signal, and platform availability.

Uploaded alerts or previews are not guaranteed copies of all footage recorded locally.

What happens after you park?

Protected hardwire

A voltage or timer cutoff limits draw from the vehicle battery. Battery health, cold weather, short trips, and vehicle sleep behavior need review.

BlackVue parking battery

Charges while driving and reduces reliance on the vehicle battery. $499 installed, for compatible BlackVue systems only. Enough recharge time is essential.

Driving mode only

Recording stops with the vehicle. Suitable when parked footage isn’t needed or the vehicle, battery, or driving routine does not qualify.

Impact, motion, time lapse, and low-power modes vary by camera. Temperature, charge, settings, driving, storage, and LTE activity affect operation. No overnight, multi-day, or fixed runtime is guaranteed.

How much does dashcam installation cost?

Front-and-rear packages start at $599 installed with 64GB. Camera, storage, optional equipment, and vehicle work determine your quote. Financing is available for qualifying purchases, subject to credit approval.

Which dashcam should I choose?

Momento suits straightforward local evidence; Drone XC2 offers connected access and an optional third view. BlackVue offers model-specific resolution and separate-recorder choices. Use the chooser above.

Do I need front, rear, or three cameras?

Front and rear suit most owners. Drone XC2 can add a compatible interior camera for $199; our $999 DR770X Box package includes front, rear, and interior. M8 Max is two-camera only. Extra views do not create 360-degree exterior coverage.

Can I check my camera from across town?

Compatible LTE/Cloud systems can support remote access with the correct hardware, active subscription, account, permissions, and signal. Nearby Wi-Fi alone cannot. Connected service is separate.

Does it record while parked, and do I need a battery?

Eligible cameras need an approved parking-power setup. Protected hardwire may suit regular driving. Our $499 parking battery is offered with compatible BlackVue systems only and reduces reliance on the vehicle battery. Neither setup promises a fixed runtime. Financing options are available, subject to credit approval.

Will it always capture a readable license plate?

No. Speed, distance, angle, glare, darkness, weather, glass, and tint affect detail. Recording an incident does not guarantee identification.

How much storage should I choose?

At the same settings, doubling the card capacity roughly doubles recording history. As one example, BlackVue ELITE 10 front-and-rear 4K at High quality stores about 2 hours on 64GB and 17 hours 5 minutes on 512GB. Other systems and settings differ. M8 Max supports up to 256GB; the other listed systems offer 512GB.

Can you install a dashcam I already own?

Yes, after review. The $350 minimum covers up to two hours of installation. We review your vehicle, complete camera kit, storage, and power. Additional time, equipment, or work is quoted separately. No Kickin’ Customs product or installation warranty applies. Financing is subject to credit approval.

Can a dashcam work safely in an EV or hybrid?

Possibly. We review the exact vehicle, battery condition, sleep behavior, existing electronics, and power requirements before recommending an installation.
