Preserve the finish people see and use

Everyday Contact Adds Up

Counters, tables and fixtures handle bags, equipment, repeated contact and regular cleaning. On a suitable finish, the right treatment can help manage light wear or make routine maintenance easier.

Customer-facing counters

Review the surfaces used for check-in, transactions, merchandise and everyday interaction.

Tables and work areas

Two different approaches

Choose the Right Protection for Your Counters and Fixtures

Start with the job you want the treatment to do. The exact material, finish and daily use determine whether film or coating is appropriate.

See and assess the real finish

Compare a Sample Before You Commit

A physical sample or limited test helps you assess gloss, texture, reflection, feel, visible edges and untreated areas. It does not guarantee an exact appearance across every surface.

Check the existing finish

The finish must be suitable, stable and properly cured. Film and coating do not repair cracks, corrosion, peeling paint, loose laminate, swelling, etching or active moisture.

Review daily use and cleaning

Share the cleaners and disinfectants, dilution, contact time, tools, frequency, heat and moisture exposure. Commercial-use approval must match the exact product and setting.

Confirm the coverage details

Edges, seams, cutouts and transitions may remain visible. Hidden returns, undersides, sink bowls, grout, caulk, hardware and adjoining parts are not automatically included.

Keep Care Matched to the Product

Continue using cutting boards, trivets, coasters, pads and other appropriate operating protections. Film and coating are not scratch-proof, heat-proof or waterproof.

Follow cure and cleaning directions

Wait before cleaning, loading or exposing the treatment to water or heat as directed. Use only approved methods, cleaners and tools. Share instructions with employees, cleaners and other trades.

Report damage before altering it

Ask for direction about lifting, cuts, discoloration, heat or chemical exposure. Do not trim, peel, glue, polish or recoat without the appropriate service advice.

Keep product-specific records

Commercial warranty and future service follow the exact product, approved use and issued terms. There is no universal service life, damage-free removal promise or automatic transfer of automotive or residential coverage.

Food-contact, antimicrobial, medical and walking-surface suitability are not assumed. These uses require current documentation for the exact product and application, along with any necessary facility or professional review.

A few useful answers

Questions Before You Start

What is the difference between protective film and a surface coating?

Protective film is a replaceable physical layer that helps protect suitable finishes from light scuffs and everyday abrasion. A surface coating is a thin treatment intended to make routine cleaning easier, selected for the finish, cleaning products and daily use. It does not provide the physical wear layer of film.

Which business surfaces can be reviewed?

Potential candidates include reception and transaction counters, conference tables, desks, retail fixtures, millwork and finished panels. Material, finish, condition and daily use determine eligibility. Selected stone, porcelain, laminate, finished metal, fully cured painted panels and glass feature surfaces require exact product review.

Can a glass tabletop receive surface protection?

An eligible glass tabletop or display component can be reviewed for a supported surface application. Building glazing and goals involving privacy, solar control or glass-security performance belong with Commercial Window & Storefront Film.

Is either option scratch-proof or impact-proof?

No. Film may take selected light scuffs or abrasion, but sharp objects, grit, heavy pressure, cuts, punctures, carts, impacts, heat and chemicals can exceed it. Coatings add very little physical thickness and are not dependable protection against cuts, gouges, dents or concentrated impact.

Does self-healing remove every mark in film?

No. Where an approved product has a self-healing topcoat, selected light surface marks may lessen under suitable conditions. Deep cuts, punctures, burns, chemical damage, lifted edges and damage beneath the film do not self-heal.

Will the treatment change the appearance?

It can. Film edges, seams, cutouts, gloss, texture, reflection and untreated areas can remain visible. A coating may change reflection, color depth, feel or water behavior. Review a physical sample or test area when appearance matters; an exact full-installation match is not guaranteed.

Can it withstand hot cookware, steam or strong cleaners?

Do not assume so. Exact product and surface limits must match the business’s heat, moisture and cleaning routine. Continue using cutting boards, trivets, coasters and other appropriate protections. Review cleaners and disinfectants, including dilution, contact time, tools and frequency. Treatment is not waterproofing.

Is it suitable for food preparation, healthcare or regulated facilities?

Only after the exact product and use are supported by the required documentation and facility review. Direct-food-contact, antimicrobial, sanitizing, medical or other regulated claims are not assumed. Treatment does not replace cleaning, sanitation or required barriers.

Can floors, stairs or other walking surfaces be treated?

Not as a general surface-film or coating application. These uses require a specifically documented system, slip-related testing, installation requirements and written approval for the exact environment.

Will film or coating fix existing damage?

No. Cracks, chips, corrosion, failed paint, loose laminate, swelling, stains, etching, soft finishes, active moisture or movement may require correction, exclusion, replacement or another trade first.

Are all edges, undersides and fittings included?

No. The approved coverage plan identifies faces, edges, seams, cutouts and untreated areas. Controls, hardware, warnings, ventilation, clearances and service access must remain functional. Hidden returns, sink bowls, grout, caulk, hardware and adjoining parts are not automatically included.

Can it be removed or replaced later?

Film removal and coating correction are different services. Adhesive, finish, age, repairs, exposure and access affect film removal risk. Coatings may require decontamination, polishing, stripping or refinishing. Damage-free removal and exact future matching are not universally promised.

How long does it last, and what warranty applies?

There is no universal commercial service life or blanket warranty. The exact product, approved use, finish, preparation, cleaning, exposure, care and written project terms determine coverage and future service. Automotive, residential, glass and decorative-wrap warranties do not automatically transfer.

How are price and business downtime determined?

Each written proposal identifies the assets, quantities, preparation, application, access, scheduling and cure requirements. Removal, correction, future replacement and after-hours work are included only when stated. Phasing can be discussed, but uninterrupted operation and a particular schedule are not guaranteed.
