What Goes Into Your Vehicle-Specific Quote?

Paint and preparation

Existing film or coatings, repainting, repairs, chips, and appropriate paint correction affect preparation. We review these items before confirming the work.

Panels and materials

Vehicle size, curves, specialty surfaces, chosen film, additional panels, and mixed film thickness can change the installation requirements.

Edges and disassembly

We confirm accessible edge wrapping, applicable emblem and trim work, and any unusual access requirements for your vehicle.

Protection and Easier Care

PPF provides a physical barrier against chips and scuffs on covered panels. Ceramic coating helps with water behavior and cleaning; it is not a rock-chip barrier. An appropriate coating can complement your chosen PPF.

Care and Support After Installation

Planning your appointment

Financing is available on qualifying installations, subject to credit approval and current terms. Confirm the offer and final vehicle price before applying.

Loaner vehicles and Uber assistance can help with time away from your vehicle. Ask about available loaners and Uber ride credits up to $80 on qualifying projects. Eligibility, availability, and scheduling are confirmed with your quote.

Extended and full-body projects may take several days. We confirm the drop-off and collection window before booking.

Warranty and follow-up

Qualifying XPEL films carry a 10-year limited manufacturer warranty, subject to the installed product’s terms and exclusions.

Kickin’ Customs workmanship coverage is separate. The three-week inspection described above is required for that coverage.

The separate one-time replacement benefit offers qualifying original installations of $495 or more assistance up to $250 for the original customer. Insurance claims are excluded. Written eligibility terms apply.

Caring for the film

  • Do not wash the vehicle for the first 7 days. Typical curing takes about 2–3 weeks.
  • Use pH-neutral wash products and clean microfiber.
  • Remove contaminants promptly and keep pressure washers at least 3 feet from film edges.
  • Use Ceramic Boost about every six months where appropriate to the installed film.

Questions About PPF Packages and Pricing

How much does paint protection film cost?

Standard XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS gloss PPF starts at $1595 for Strike Zone on a sedan or coupe, and $1795 on an SUV or truck. Strike Zone includes the full hood, front bumper, and mirror caps. Full-body Zero Exposure starts at $6995 for a sedan or coupe, or $7995 for an SUV or truck. Film choice, paint condition, preparation, and additional work affect your confirmed quote.

What is the difference between Strike Zone and Front-End Defense?

Strike Zone protects the full hood, front bumper, and mirror caps. Front-End Defense adds the full front fenders and suitable headlights to cover the complete front impact area. Surface suitability is confirmed for your vehicle.

What does Apex Defense add?

Apex Defense adds rocker panels, A-pillars, and the leading roof edge to Front-End Defense. These areas can see greater road-debris exposure on trucks, performance vehicles, and frequent highway trips.

What does Urban Armor protect, and does it prevent door dings?

Urban Armor adds full doors and rear quarter panels, or applicable truck bedsides, to Apex Defense. It helps protect covered paint from scuffs, chips, and other surface damage. It does not prevent the metal from denting or deforming. Preserving the paint can sometimes help a minor dent remain suitable for paintless dent repair, but the repair method depends on the damage and its location.

What does Zero Exposure cover?

Zero Exposure covers the full painted exterior, including the roof, trunk or hatch, and rear bumper. We confirm suitable headlights and specialty surfaces when reviewing the vehicle. Coverage is planned for the actual body panels and finish.

Which coverage suits my driving?

Front-End Defense is a strong starting point for daily driving and regular highway use. Strike Zone focuses on the hood, bumper, and mirrors. Apex Defense adds exposed lower-side and pillar areas, Urban Armor adds broader side coverage, and Zero Exposure suits owners who want to preserve the full painted exterior. We’ll help you match the coverage to your vehicle, driving habits, and how much of the finish you want to preserve.

What is the difference between standard gloss and hydrophobic PPF?

The standard-gloss prices use XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS. XPEL ULTIMATE FUSION is a gloss film with a built-in water-repellent surface that helps make covered panels easier to clean. The estimator shows the supported starting price for the vehicle and coverage you choose.

Is protecting factory matte paint the same as converting gloss paint to satin?

No. Protect Factory Matte uses XPEL STEALTH to preserve an existing matte or satin finish, with the five standard coverage choices. Convert Gloss to Satin uses full painted-body Stealth Defense for a consistent finish and includes additional disassembly and accessible edge wrapping. Intentional satin accents are custom-quote requests, not a uniform full-vehicle conversion.

How much is a full-body STEALTH conversion?

Stealth Defense starts at $8495 for a sedan or coupe, or as low as $384/mo, and $8995 for an SUV or truck, or as low as $407/mo. It includes additional disassembly and accessible edge wrapping. Panel details, specialty surfaces, suitable headlights, and any areas where the original color may remain visible are confirmed for the vehicle. Monthly figures are estimates subject to credit approval, current terms, and final pricing.

Can I mix 8 mil and 10 mil PPF?

Yes. We can quote XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS10 on high-impact areas and standard 8 mil film elsewhere. The 10 Mil PPF estimator option uses 10 mil film throughout the selected package. A mixed-thickness installation requires a separate vehicle-specific quote.

Can I request Color PPF, accents, or custom coverage?

Yes. Tell us your vehicle, preferred color or finish, and the panels you want to protect. We can quote Color PPF, satin accents, additional panels, and mixed 8 mil and 10 mil coverage for your vehicle.

Request Custom Coverage

Is paint correction included in the starting price?

Not automatically. Transparent film can leave existing chips, scratches, touch-up, and other paint defects visible. We inspect the finish and discuss any appropriate correction or preparation before installation. Repainting, repairs, existing film or coatings, and additional work can affect your quote.

What else can change a vehicle-specific quote?

The vehicle’s size and panel design, chosen film, specialty surfaces, custom panels, mixed thickness, accessible edges, and trim or emblem work can change the installation requirements. We review these details with you before confirming the work and price.

How long does installation take?

Timing depends on your vehicle, coverage, film, and preparation. Front-end installations can be completed faster, while extended and full-body projects may require several days. We confirm the drop-off and collection window before booking, then arrange the complimentary three-week inspection required for workmanship coverage.

Is financing available?

Financing is available for qualifying installations, subject to credit approval and current terms. Monthly payment figures are estimates. Taxes, final vehicle pricing, and available terms must be confirmed.

Can I request a quote without completing the estimator?

Yes. Tell us your year, make, and model and what you would like to protect. We’ll help you choose the film and coverage.

Can PPF prevent every chip or repair existing paint damage?

No. PPF helps reduce chips, scuffs, and surface contamination on covered areas, but it cannot prevent every impact, deep cut, puncture, dent, or collision. It does not repair damage already in the paint. We review the condition and any preparation before installation.
