Authorized Product Requirement

Manufacturer warranty coverage applies only to eligible products purchased and installed through an authorized Compustar or DroneMobile retailer.

Products purchased through unauthorized third-party sellers, or installed outside the authorized dealer network, are not covered by Firstech’s manufacturer warranty.

Kickin’ Customs is an authorized Compustar and DroneMobile retailer and installs eligible systems through the authorized channel.

Firstech Control Module and Antenna Warranty

Firstech control modules and antennas carry a limited lifetime replacement warranty.

This coverage applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. If a qualifying control module or antenna fails, Firstech may provide a direct or comparable replacement component.

The limited lifetime replacement warranty applies to the hardware itself. It does not include diagnostic time, removal, reinstallation, programming, configuration, or other labor charges.

Compustar Remote Warranty

Compustar remote transmitter coverage depends on the remote model and, for Compustar PRO remotes, whether the remote is registered promptly.

Compustar PRO remotes receive:
• Three years of coverage when registered within 10 days of purchase or installation and proof of receipt is provided.
• Two years of coverage when registration is not completed within that period.

Standard Compustar remote transmitters, carry a one-year manufacturer warranty.

Remote warranty coverage is limited to qualifying malfunctioning components and physical defects. Normal use and normal wear are not covered.

DroneMobile Hardware and Subscription Coverage

DroneMobile hardware is covered separately from the Compustar security-system hardware.

Eligible DroneMobile systems include a one-year manufacturer warranty against qualifying malfunctioning or defective hardware.

That hardware may qualify for limited lifetime coverage when the original owner maintains a qualifying active annual DroneMobile subscription.

Requirements for Limited Lifetime DroneMobile Hardware Coverage

The limited lifetime DroneMobile hardware warranty remains active only while all of the following requirements are met:

• The original owner maintains a qualifying active annual DroneMobile subscription.
• The original DroneMobile hardware remains in the original vehicle.
• The system was purchased from and installed by an authorized DroneMobile retailer.
• The original purchaser continues to own the vehicle.

DroneMobile hardware with a Basic plan or a month-to-month subscription remains covered by the standard one-year hardware warranty.

DroneMobile coverage is non-transferable. It ends if the original owner sells the vehicle or the original hardware is removed and installed in another vehicle.

DroneMobile Cellular, GPS, and App Service

DroneMobile relies on cellular and GPS networks. Coverage, GPS accuracy, app performance, and communication timing can be affected by conditions outside Firstech’s control, including terrain, buildings, weather, network availability, and other service interruptions.

Firstech does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free DroneMobile service. Cellular outages, delayed communication, GPS limitations, and network interruptions do not create a warranty claim or service refund entitlement.

If you experience repeated service issues, contact Kickin’ Customs so we can help determine whether the concern is related to the vehicle, hardware, system configuration, or the cellular network.

What Is Not Covered

The Compustar and DroneMobile manufacturer warranties do not cover:

• Products not purchased and installed through an authorized retailer
• Normal use, normal wear, or cosmetic wear on remote transmitters
• Diagnostic, removal, reinstallation, programming, configuration, troubleshooting, or other labor charges
• Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, abuse, modification, collision, water intrusion, or outside events
• Cellular, GPS, or app-service interruptions
• Lost use, lost time, lost earnings, rental expenses, towing, or other consequential costs
• Vehicle damage or electrical concerns unrelated to a qualifying hardware defect
• Warranty coverage after the original purchaser sells the vehicle, where the applicable warranty is non-transferable
• DroneMobile hardware removed from the original vehicle and reinstalled elsewhere
• Cash refunds or monetary compensation through a manufacturer warranty claim

If a component is determined to be defective and covered, Firstech’s manufacturer warranty remedy is replacement with a direct or comparable component.

Labor and Installation

Firstech’s manufacturer warranties cover qualifying components, not labor.

If warranty service is needed, Kickin’ Customs will inspect the system, identify the component involved, and help coordinate the appropriate warranty replacement process.

Any diagnostic, removal, reinstallation, programming, configuration, or related labor is not included under Firstech’s manufacturer warranty. We will explain any applicable labor before work begins.

Car Alarm FAQs

How long is the warranty on my Compustar car alarm?

Firstech control modules and antennas carry a limited lifetime replacement warranty for the original purchaser. Compustar remote transmitters have separate warranty terms based on the remote model and, for PRO remotes, whether registration is completed within 10 days.

Does the warranty cover Compustar alarm remotes?

Yes. Compustar PRO remotes are covered for three years when registered within 10 days, or two years without timely registration. PRIME, LT, and other standard remotes carry a one-year warranty.

Is DroneMobile included in the car alarm warranty?

DroneMobile hardware has its own manufacturer warranty. It carries one-year hardware coverage by default and may qualify for limited lifetime coverage when the original owner maintains a qualifying active annual DroneMobile subscription.

Does the manufacturer warranty cover labor?

No. Firstech’s manufacturer warranty does not include diagnostic work, removal, reinstallation, programming, configuration, troubleshooting, or other labor.

Does the warranty cover theft or damage caused by a break-in?

No. A car alarm is a security system, not theft insurance. The manufacturer warranty does not cover vehicle theft, attempted theft, theft-related damage, insurance deductibles, towing, rentals, or other losses.

What should I do if my car alarm or DroneMobile system stops working?

Contact Kickin’ Customs and bring the vehicle in for an in-person evaluation. We will identify the concern, determine which component is involved, and explain whether manufacturer warranty coverage may apply.
