How much does interior protection cost, and does $995 include film?
Upholstery coating starts at $995 and includes suitable seats, soft-touch door panels, leather dashboard surfaces, carpets, and other compatible soft interior materials. Final pricing depends on vehicle size, material condition, compatibility, and any additional preparation or specialty areas. Interior Protection Film is quoted separately and is not included unless specifically listed in your written quote.
Which upholstery materials can be coated?
Suitable carpet, automotive fabric, leather, and vinyl after inspection. Alcantara and suede are excluded. Tell us about specialty materials, previous treatments, and repairs so we can check suitability.
Will the coating make my seats waterproof or stain-proof?
No. It helps with spill cleanup and stain resistance, but liquids can reach seams, perforations, edges, and untreated areas. Dyes, oils, cosmetics, sunscreen, food, chemicals, and bodily fluids can still stain. Blot spills promptly.
Does coating repair worn leather or existing stains?
No. Existing stains, fading, cracks, wear, tears, burns, odors, and damaged finishes may need cleaning, repair, or replacement first. Protection does not hide that damage.
What does Interior Protection Film protect?
Suitable infotainment and instrument displays, piano-black or gloss-black trim, gloss carbon fiber, and selected smooth hard panels. The clear layer helps with fine scratches, swirls, scuffs, and everyday contact.
Can every screen and trim panel be covered?
No. Screen coatings, textures, curves, moving parts, finish condition, and available patterns affect suitability. We check fit and controls before confirming coverage.
Will interior film be completely invisible?
It is designed to be discreet, but edges may show and collect dust. Reflection, gloss, feel, or screen anti-glare behavior may change. We explain the expected finish before installation.
When can I use the coated interior?
XPEL lists a 60-minute dry time and a 24-hour cure time. Keep treated areas dry for at least 24 hours and follow your pickup instructions. Film has separate settling and edge-care guidance.
How should I clean a protected interior?
Vacuum grit, blot spills promptly, and use material-compatible cleaners tested in a hidden area. Avoid harsh cleaning, clean film edges gently, and keep excess liquid away from switches and displays.
What warranty applies to upholstery coating?
A two-year limited product warranty from initial installation covers eligible fading and non-removable staining caused by a manufacturing defect on approved carpet, fabric, leather, and vinyl. Professional installation, registration, proper care, annual inspections, and written XPEL terms apply.
Can a used vehicle still be protected?
Often, if the materials are in suitable condition. Cleaning or repairs may be needed first. Clear protection will not hide existing wear, stains, or scratches.
Can I combine upholstery coating and Interior PPF?
Yes, where suitable. Coating protects approved soft surfaces; film covers selected screens and hard trim. Your written quote separately itemizes both services and their coverage.
