SEE WHAT A SECOND COLOR CAN DO

A two-tone wrap. A whole new look.

You don’t have to change every panel to make your vehicle look dramatically different. A contrasting upper section can change its entire character while keeping the original paint part of the design.

Move the slider to explore this Suburban styling preview. Gloss black is popular, but a two-tone design can use other colors to complement or contrast with your original paint.

Depending on your design, coverage can include the roof and pillars, upper doors or connected body panels, rear quarters, hatch or trunk, spoiler and suitable adjoining panels. These are examples, not a list of areas included in the starting price.

We agree on where the second color starts and stops before installation. Door openings and hidden areas are separate unless your written quote includes them.

THE DETAILS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

A Design That Follows Your Vehicle

Roof wrap edge beside a spoiler

Body lines, roof edges, pillars and hood contours give us natural places to create contrast. We plan the design around handles, trim, seams and panel breaks so it reads well from every angle.

Some curves need a planned join or separate piece of film. We explain visible edges, the original color that remains and the exact included panels before installation.

MAKE THE COLORS WORK TOGETHER

Which finish suits your car?

Gloss brings shine, satin softens the reflection, and matte creates a flatter contrast. Metallic and color-shift films add another way to make an accent your own.

Select a finish to see it on a vehicle on our Color Change page. These swatches are for ideas, not exact film samples.

We work with films from 3M, Avery Dennison, ORACAL, KPMF, and more. Compare a real sample beside your paint, wheels, and trim before choosing. A matching name does not mean film and factory paint will look exactly alike.

LOOK AT THE PAINT FIRST

Can my car be wrapped?

Good paint gives us a better starting point.

Vinyl follows what is underneath. It will not repair peeling clear coat, rust, chips, dents, or scratches, and those flaws may still show.

Tell us about repainted panels, fresh paint, bodywork, ceramic coating, or an old wrap. We may need to inspect the car or have you address repairs before wrapping.

What might stay original?

Textured plastic, rubber, hidden openings, and undersides are not automatically included. Some surfaces are not suitable for wrap film.

Extra panels, old-film removal, replacement trim, paint repairs, and custom artwork are separate unless your quote includes them.

PLAN YOUR VISIT

How long will the work take?

Many straightforward partial wraps take approximately 1 to 2 business days after the material and exact work are approved. Two-tone, multi-panel, printed, specialty-film, or removal-heavy projects can require longer.

KNOW WHAT GOES INTO YOUR QUOTE

What can change the price?

The panels you choose

One mirror, a large roof, and an entire upper body are very different projects. Panel size, curves, and where the color stops affect the work.

The film and design

Specialty finishes and printed graphics can cost more than a standard solid color. Original artwork belongs in a custom printed wrap quote.

The car’s condition

Old film removal, paint concerns, coatings, or trim that needs to come off can add time. We’ll identify any extra work before you commit.

The $495 starting price is for a focused accent using standard film on suitable surfaces. Two-tone wraps start at $1795. Your quote lists the exact areas, film, preparation, installation, inspection, and care guidance included.

KEEP YOUR ACCENTS LOOKING GOOD

Do roofs and hoods need extra care?

Yes. They receive more direct sun and collect more water, snow, and contamination than the sides of the car. That means they can age sooner.

About 3 to 5 years is a practical planning range for many cosmetic wraps, but film, finish, exposure, storage, mileage, winter use, washing, and maintenance affect the result. A roof or hood can need attention earlier.

Ask us to check film that starts lifting, cracking, or becoming brittle. Removing it before it is badly weathered can make the job easier.

A few habits make a difference.

  • Follow the care instructions we provide at pickup.
  • Hand wash gently with film-safe products.
  • Clean off bird droppings, bugs, salt, and fuel promptly.
  • Keep pressure spray, brushes, ice scrapers, and cargo away from film edges.
  • Avoid polish on matte or satin finishes.

Do not wash for seven days after installation. Follow the material-specific instructions provided at pickup.

Qualifying installations include our one-year workmanship warranty under the written terms. Manufacturer material coverage is separate and depends on the selected film. Ordinary wear, impact damage and improper care are not workmanship defects.

A FEW MORE ANSWERS

Still weighing it up?

Can I wrap just the roof, hood, or mirrors?

Yes, when those areas and the paint are suitable. We’ll review their size, curves, and nearby trim before confirming what can be wrapped and the price.

Will the film match my factory paint or black trim?

We can help you choose a close match or a deliberate contrast, but an exact match is not guaranteed. Compare a physical sample beside the vehicle in different light.

Can I use a printed pattern on one panel?

Yes. A printed accent can be part of a partial wrap. If the project needs original artwork, a personal livery, or more involved design work, we’ll discuss it through Custom Printed Wraps.

Can the wrap come off later?

It can be professionally removed, but removal is not risk-free. Repainted, repaired, or weakened paint can lift, and adhesive cleanup may be needed. Wrapped and exposed paint can also age differently, so a color or gloss difference may remain.

What warranty comes with a partial wrap?

Qualifying installations include a one-year Kickin’ Customs workmanship warranty under the written terms. Any manufacturer warranty depends on the film and how it is used; a roof or hood may have different coverage from a door. Normal wear, impacts, failing paint, and damage from incorrect care are not workmanship defects.

Do I need to know exactly what I want before asking?

No. Tell us what you like about your car and what you want to change. Photos of styles you like are helpful. We can talk through the options and show you samples before you decide.
