Kickin’ Customs LLC

Shop Policies

Appointments, vehicle preparation, payment, pickup, and shop procedures.

Appointments and Scheduling

We work by appointment so every vehicle receives dedicated time.

  • Deposits may be required for PPF, vinyl, coatings, electronics, or multi-day services.
  • Appointment times are start times, not guaranteed completion times.
  • Larger installs may run longer based on vehicle condition, complexity, or unforeseen factors.

Authorization to Perform Work

Dropping off your vehicle confirms your authorization for Kickin’ Customs to perform the requested services.

  • Any additional work will be reviewed and approved before we proceed.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

A clear schedule helps us operate efficiently.

  • Cancellations within 48 hours may result in a forfeited deposit.
  • No-shows or same-day cancellations may require a non-refundable deposit to rebook.
  • Contact us early if plans change.

Vehicle Condition Requirements

Vehicles must arrive reasonably clean.

  • Excessive dirt, sand, pet hair, or debris may result in a cleaning fee or rescheduling.
  • A clean vehicle protects installation quality for PPF, vinyl, tint, coatings, and electronics work.

Pre-Existing Damage Documentation

We document noticeable dents, scratches, chips, swirl marks, repaint, prior film, or failing clear coat at drop-off.

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or for issues that become more visible once film or coatings are installed.

Material Variations

All PPF, tint films, vinyl materials, and coatings may show natural variations in color, texture, sheen, clarity, or finish.

  • Batch differences, lighting, substrate color, and panel shapes can create minor visual differences. These are normal and not considered defects.

Polarized Lens Visibility

Polarized sunglasses and polarized camera lenses may show visual patterns, rainbowing, or interference when viewing through window tint or PPF.

  • This is a normal optical interaction and does not affect film performance or warranty.

Personal Items and Aftermarket Electronics

Please remove personal belongings before drop-off.

  • We are not responsible for items left inside the vehicle.
  • Inform us of any aftermarket electronics or modifications that may affect panel access or installation.

Quality Control and Post-Install Checks

Every vehicle is inspected before release.

  • PPF and vinyl installs may require a follow-up visit.
  • Tint may show moisture pockets during curing. These will dissipate as the film dries.
  • Ceramic coatings require proper cure time. Aftercare instructions are reviewed at pickup.

Unexpected Findings

If we uncover hidden damage, repaint, contamination, failing clear coat, or previous film during prep, we will pause and contact you.

  • Additional labor may apply if extended prep is required.

Warranty Information

We follow all manufacturer warranty guidelines and stand behind our workmanship.

  • XPEL warranties require registration through Kickin’ Customs.
  • Vinyl wrap warranties represent manufacturer life expectancy, not a guaranteed lifespan.
  • Workmanship warranties apply to original installations only.
  • If a customer schedules a warranty repair appointment and no shows or cancels without proper notice, the warranty becomes null and void.

Customer Supplied Products

Kickin’ Customs does not install customer supplied film, vinyl, coatings, electronics, or lighting.

  • All materials must be sourced through our shop to ensure quality, performance, and warranty coverage.

Damage Caused by Previous Installers

Corrective work on prior installs can reveal hidden issues not visible at drop-off.

  • Any additional labor or repair requirements will be billed at standard rates.

Test Drives

Customers authorize Kickin’ Customs to operate their vehicle for quality control, calibration checks, remote start verification, GPS testing, or any other testing required for proper installation.

Fuel Policy

Vehicles must arrive with adequate fuel for all required testing and movement.

  • Remote start systems require multiple start cycles.
  • GPS tracking systems may require short test drives.
  • Dashcams require vehicle operation for setup and alignment.
  • Electronics, PPF, coatings, tint, and vinyl projects may require repositioning the vehicle in and out of work areas.
  • Extremely low fuel levels may delay completion.

Payment and Financing

Payment is due at pickup unless financing has been approved.

  • All major payment methods are accepted.
  • Financing is available through Wisetack and Synchrony Car Care.
  • Vehicles will not be released until all balances are paid in full.

Photography and Marketing

All vehicles are photographed or filmed during or after service for documentation and marketing.

  • License plates and identifiable details may appear in photos and videos.

Security and Vehicle Storage

Our facility is monitored by 24 hour interior and exterior video surveillance.

  • Vehicles stored inside the shop are secured.
  • Kickin’ Customs is not responsible for vehicles or belongings left outside the building.
  • Customers choosing outside drop-off or pickup do so at their own risk.

Pickup Timeline Policy

Vehicles must be picked up within the agreed upon timeframe.

  • Storage fees may apply for vehicles left beyond the scheduled pickup window unless arranged ahead of time.
  • If shop space becomes limited, vehicles not picked up on time may be moved outside. At that point, all risk associated with outdoor storage falls solely on the client.

Liability and Shop Safety

We maintain a clean, controlled, professional environment.

  • We are not responsible for mechanical failures, worn parts, or pre-existing damage unrelated to the requested services.
  • Only authorized personnel may enter work zones.
