Build a repeatable routine

Work through each part of the installation so you can recognize where a problem begins and what needs more practice.

No trim or panel removal is required by the standard method.

Pricing, sales, estimating, scheduling and shop management are separate from this installation-focused training.

Two useful cutting skills

Plotter-first. Hand cutting still matters.

The plotter is the primary cutting workflow. You also practice hand cutting as a necessary secondary skill, so the course does not leave that part of installation unfamiliar.

Both lead to the same next job: fitting and finishing film cleanly on the glass.

Your Window Tint certification pathway.

1 day

No certification attempt.

2 days

Only for an experienced installer when specifically approved.

3 or 5 days

One applicable Window Tint certification attempt.

You and the instructor must both agree you are ready. Deferring does not use the attempt; beginning the test does, whether you pass or fail. Use an included attempt within six months of qualifying training completion. The final training day may be the test day; an extra testing day is not automatic.

Completing training is not certification. Passing the hands-on test is required. This is not XPEL or other manufacturer certification or authorization.

After your training

30 days of support included.

Keep practicing with help on the material taught, photo or video review, troubleshooting and reasonable business-hours guidance. Support does not include live jobsite supervision, unlimited calls, emergency FaceTime, unrelated business consulting or unlimited instructor access.

Graduate refresher day

$2,495 for Window Tint. For Kickin’ Customs graduates only, not a beginner entry program.

Advanced Window Tint Training

$3,495 per private day. For graduates or approved experienced outside installers. Outside applicants generally need two years of active experience or equivalent demonstrated work and a substantial recent portfolio.

Window Tint Training questions.

Which Window Tint program should a beginner choose?

Two days is the minimum beginner path. Three days is preferred. One day is for existing installers.

What will I practice?

Vehicle and glass preparation, plotter-first cutting and required secondary hand cutting, door glass, rear-glass shrinking and installation, windshield installation, contamination control, edges, corners, finishing, troubleshooting, final inspection and a brief customer handoff.

Do I need to remove trim or panels?

No trim or panel removal is required by the standard installation method. The program focuses on installation skills; pricing, sales, estimating, scheduling and shop management are separate.

Does my program include a certification attempt?

One-day programs do not include an attempt. A two-day program includes one only for an experienced installer when specifically approved. Three- and five-day programs include one applicable Window Tint attempt, subject to joint readiness and the six-month window. Attendance does not equal certification, and passing is not guaranteed.

What is included after training?

Thirty days of graduate support covers taught material, photo or video review of your work, troubleshooting and reasonable business-hours guidance. Graduate-only Window Tint refresher days cost $2,495. Approved Advanced Window Tint training costs $3,495 per private day.

Can I bring a vehicle to work on?

Standard training vehicles and panels are supplied. Bringing your own or a customer’s vehicle needs prior approval. Specialty materials, finishes or vehicles may involve additional charges.

Does this provide manufacturer certification?

No. These are Kickin’ Customs programs and credentials. They do not provide XPEL or any other manufacturer certification or authorization.
