Professional Installer Development

A staged development relationship built around instruction, real-world practice, return visits, refinement and applicable Advanced Certification testing.

Ages 18+ · Hands-on shop instruction · Reviewed individually

The work between visits changes the learning

Train. Practice. Return with better questions.

A five-day course concentrates learning into one visit. Development gives you four visits with real installation practice between them.

Learn a workflow, use it independently, then bring the difficult parts back for review and correction. Later stages build on what your own work shows you need next.

Instruction → independent practice → review → refinement

Repeated exposure, advanced techniques and testing readiness are part of the relationship. The program does not guarantee mastery, employment, income, business success or a passing result.

Four stages · Five full shop days each

A clear progression over 20 days.

  1. 015 full days

    Foundation & core workflow

Build preparation, handling and installation fundamentals for your selected discipline.

  2. 025 full days

Bring back the problems you met in practice. Work on weak technique and consistency.

  3. 035 full days

    Advanced technique & refinement

Practice more demanding techniques and refine control, finishing and repeatability.

  4. 045 full days

    Advanced development & Certification

Continue refinement and prepare for the applicable Advanced evaluation. Testing follows readiness and eligibility requirements.

Practice is part of the program

Put the skills to work between stages.

Independent installation work gives the next stage something real to address. Keep track of the jobs, recurring difficulties and finish details you want to improve.

Stage 1 is fixed at enrollment. Later windows are tentative until progress and shop availability support them. Long gaps may require a refresher, partial repeat or skill check before continuing.

Private only · Four stage payments

Reserve Stage 1

The first 25% is due at enrollment to reserve Stage 1.

Complete the program. Pass the evaluation.

What it takes to become a Development Graduate.

Twenty days alone does not award the designation. Satisfactory completion of the applicable program and passing its applicable Advanced Certification are both required.

  • Professional Window Tint Installer Development Graduate
  • Professional PPF Installer Development Graduate
  • Professional Window Tint + PPF Installer Development Graduate

Once earned, the Development Graduate designation is permanent. Active certification is separate and renews every three years. Public display of Development status requires active certification.

Advanced testing requires the corresponding active Standard certification in good standing. Testing is performance-based and passing is not guaranteed. These are Kickin’ Customs credentials, not XPEL or another manufacturer’s certification or authorization.

Plan for the commitment

Time in the shop. Practice between visits.

Each stage is five full days, Monday–Friday, 9 AM–6 PM with a one-hour lunch, at Kickin’ Customs in Raynham. Travel and lodging are your responsibility.

Development uses the 25%-per-stage payment terms above. Training financing is not offered. Review the shared shop safety, conduct, attendance, recording and travel policies before applying.

Development questions.

How is Development different from a five-day course?

A five-day course concentrates learning into one visit. Development combines four five-day stages with independent practice between visits, so later instruction can address the problems you have encountered in real work. It includes between-stage support, 90 days after the final stage and applicable Advanced testing.

Is a Small Group version available?

No. The 20-day Professional Installer Development Program is private only.

How far apart are the stages?

Typical independent practice intervals are 6–10 weeks. Complete all four stages within 12 months of Stage 1. Later windows depend on readiness and shop availability. Long gaps may require a refresher, partial repeat or skill check.

How are payments arranged?

There are four payments of 25%. The first is due at enrollment to reserve Stage 1. Later payments are due seven days before their respective stages. Tint is $60,000 total in four $15,000 payments; PPF is $75,000 in four $18,750 payments; Combined is $90,000 in four $22,500 payments. Training financing is not offered.

What happens if I leave early?

Unpaid future stages are not owed. Amounts already paid follow the terms for reserved or completed stages. Program support ends when you leave.

Does completing 20 days make me a Development Graduate?

No. You must satisfactorily complete the applicable 20-day program and pass the applicable Advanced Certification. Advanced testing requires the corresponding active Standard certification in good standing. Attendance alone never guarantees a credential.

Is Development Graduate status permanent?

The designation is permanent once earned. Active certification is separate and renews every three years. Public display of Development status requires active certification under the current policy.

Do I need to upload a portfolio with my first inquiry?

No upload is required in the initial form. Tell us about your installation experience, current activity, goals and ability to practice between stages. Portfolio evidence may be requested during application review.

Application review comes first

Apply for Development.

We review your experience and goals before recommending a program or offering dates. Applicants must be 18 or older. An inquiry is not approval or a date reservation.

Portfolio samples may be requested during application review.
