PROTECTION GUIDE

PPF or ceramic coating?

Different jobs. A useful combination.

Paint protection film and ceramic coating solve different problems. The right choice depends on whether your priority is physical paint protection, easier maintenance, or both.

What PPF does

Paint protection film creates a physical, replaceable barrier over selected painted surfaces. It is designed to take everyday road wear that would otherwise reach the finish beneath it. Coverage can range from selected areas to a full-body installation.

What ceramic coating does

A ceramic coating changes how the surface behaves during normal use and washing. It can make dirt easier to release and improve the appearance of a properly prepared finish. It does not replace the physical impact protection of PPF.

When they work together

A compatible ceramic coating can be applied over PPF to make the protected surfaces easier to maintain. We plan the preparation, film installation, and coating application in that order.

How to decide

  • Start with PPF if stone chips and physical paint wear are your main concern.
  • Consider ceramic coating if easier washing and maintaining the finish are your priorities.
  • Discuss both if you want physical protection with easier routine care.
