Start with your goal

Comfort on I-95. Clarity for the Drive Home.

From I-95 and I-195 to downtown parking and College Hill streets, Providence driving brings changing sun, glare, and time in traffic. Choose tint for the way you use your vehicle, including the trip home after dark.

Cabin comfort

Ceramic film helps reduce incoming infrared energy during freeway travel and stop-and-go traffic. Heat performance and shade are separate choices.

Daytime privacy

Tint can make the cabin harder to see into during downtown parking when the exterior is brighter. Daytime privacy depends on the lighting and the vehicle.

Glare control

Low sun and bright reflections can be uncomfortable on city streets. Compare glare reduction with the outward visibility you need after sunset.

UV filtering

All three XPEL PRIME films provide 99% UV rejection in XPEL’s comparison, adding UV filtering for daily commuting and time on the road.

A finished look

Create a coordinated appearance for your car, SUV, truck, or work vehicle. We compare samples with the existing glass before you choose.

Coverage That Fits Your Vehicle

Start with the front two windows, tint the standard sides-and-rear package, or build a more complete installation with windshield and roof-glass options.

01

Front Pair

The driver and front passenger windows. A popular choice for trucks and SUVs with factory privacy glass in the rear, or for drivers who simply want to upgrade the front doors.

02

Full Vehicle Surround

The industry-standard window tint package covering the side and rear windows of the vehicle. Windshield and roof glass are separate unless specifically added.

03

Full Vehicle + Windshield

Full side-and-rear window coverage plus a compatible full windshield. A more complete approach for glare reduction, UV protection, heat control, and a consistent cabin environment.

04

Full Windshield

Film applied across compatible windshield glass to help reduce glare, UV exposure, and solar heat. Vehicle compatibility, sensors, cameras, and applicable requirements are reviewed before installation.

05

Windshield Strip

A tinted band across the upper windshield designed to reduce overhead sunlight and glare without covering the entire windshield. Height and placement depend on the vehicle and applicable requirements.

06

Sunroof / Panoramic Roof

Film for compatible sunroof or panoramic roof glass to help reduce glare and solar heat through the roof. Glass construction and vehicle compatibility are reviewed before installation.

Appearance is only part of the decision

How Dark Should You Go?

VLT means visible light transmission. Higher percentages let more visible light through; lower percentages look darker.

Your factory glass and film work together, so the film label is not the final meter reading. Vehicle, interior, lighting, and viewing angle change the look. Darker tint also reduces outward visibility at night.

Rhode Island tint planning

Plan Your Tint Around Rhode Island Requirements

Rhode Island rules differ from Massachusetts. A meter reads the factory glass and film together, so the printed film percentage is not the final vehicle reading.

Registration, actual vehicle classification, and glass position matter. Some listed vehicle classes may receive different treatment behind the driver, with two compliant outside mirrors required. An SUV or crossover name alone does not establish eligibility. Windshield coverage needs separate review.

Factory glass + film

Already Have Dark Rear Glass?

Many trucks and SUVs have darker rear glass from the factory. Its appearance is built into the glass; it is different from an applied film.

We compare Color Stable, XR Black, and XR Plus against the vehicle. Front-door ceramic film can add heat performance while driving, and on some vehicles may offer the closer visual blend.

Want more heat rejection without a much darker look? A light 70% ceramic film over factory rear privacy glass can add heat rejection while minimally changing its appearance.

An exact match in darkness, color, or reflection is not guaranteed. Existing glass also changes the final combined VLT.

Before you make the trip

Providence Window Tint Questions

Practical answers for choosing your film and planning installation in Raynham.

Where is Window Tint for Providence customers installed?

All automotive Window Tint installation is completed at Kickin’ Customs, 244 North Main Street, Raynham, MA 02767. Customers from Providence bring their vehicles to our Raynham facility. We do not have a Providence or Rhode Island installation location.

How much does Window Tint start at?

Front two windows start at $175 with Color Stable, $225 with XR Black, or $300 with XR Plus. All side and rear windows start at $400, $525, or $750 respectively. Final pricing depends on the vehicle, coverage, and any film or adhesive removal. Compare Privacy Tint Packages and Ceramic Tint Packages.

Should Providence drivers choose Privacy Tint or Ceramic Tint?

Start with Color Stable when appearance, daytime privacy, and value matter most. Compare XR Black and XR Plus when incoming heat during I-95 or I-195 driving is a higher priority. Ceramic performance does not require the darkest shade; try the heat display and compare samples in Raynham.

Can the front windows complement factory rear privacy glass?

We compare film samples against your existing glass for a coordinated appearance. Exact color, darkness, or reflection matching cannot be guaranteed. Factory glass affects the combined meter reading. Learn more on our Privacy Tint page.

What shade should I choose for city and nighttime driving?

Consider mirrors, reversing, changing light, pedestrians, and cyclists. Compare your preferred shade with the next lighter option beside the actual vehicle. The Tint Shade Guide is a visual starting point; final product, shade, and coverage need staff review.

How do Rhode Island Window Tint rules affect my choice?

Rhode Island rules differ from Massachusetts. The measured glass-and-film combination, registration, actual vehicle classification, glass position, and any approved exemption matter. A film label alone does not determine eligibility. Review the Rhode Island Window Tint guidance before choosing coverage.

Are trucks, SUVs, and crossovers treated differently in Rhode Island?

Some listed vehicle classes may be treated differently for glass behind the driver. The actual statutory classification and registration must be reviewed, along with the requirement for two compliant outside mirrors. An SUV or crossover marketing name does not automatically establish eligibility. See the Rhode Island vehicle-class explanation.

Can you tint my windshield or panoramic roof?

Windshield coverage requires separate review of the current Rhode Island rules when the vehicle is registered there. Factory glass, cameras, sensors, and compatibility also matter. Roof-glass construction and coatings vary by vehicle. Tell us the exact model and requested glass before we recommend coverage.

Why travel from Providence to Raynham for Window Tint?

You can compare physical XPEL samples against your own vehicle, feel the heat display, and review factory glass and nighttime visibility with our team. We confirm the plan, pricing, and expected timing before your appointment, then explain care, warranty, and qualifying ownership support at pickup.

How long does installation take, and how should I plan the visit?

Appointment length depends on the vehicle, glass coverage, and any existing-film or adhesive removal. Request a quote before traveling from Providence so we can confirm the expected timing. The Raynham shop is open Monday–Friday, 9 AM–6 PM, with a customer lounge available during many tint appointments.

What happens while Window Tint cures?

Keep movable windows closed for 3–5 days in normal conditions, or 5–7 days during below-freezing temperatures or colder winter conditions. Wait 7 days before cleaning the film-facing inside glass. Do not use the rear defroster until the tint has cured. Temporary moisture or haze may remain for approximately 1–2 weeks, with weather affecting drying. Read the care and maintenance guide.

What warranty applies, and do qualifying packages include the Window Film Replacement Benefit?

Qualifying XPEL PRIME film carries a limited lifetime manufacturer warranty under XPEL’s written terms. Qualifying packages also include a separate Window Film Replacement Benefit: one covered roll-down side-window film replacement during a three-year term for the original customer and vehicle. Written terms control eligibility.

Can I schedule online if I already know what I want?

Use the online scheduling page to view available appointments. If your exact service is not listed, or you want help choosing film and coverage, request a quote so we can review the vehicle first.
